Configurations (FIIT) - Creating and Editing a Meal Plan
Creating a New Meal Plan
- Select the Meal Plans tile from the home screen of FIIT
- Select + Add Meal Plan
- Select the type of meal plan that you wish to create
- Enter the meal plan details and indicate whether or not you want the meal plan to be enable and whether or not you want to turn on Meal Equivalency. Meal Equivalency means you are able to exchange a meal unit for a set dollar value or vice versa. For example, a $6.50 combo at a retail location is the equivalent to one meal unit.
- Next fill out the balance requirements for the meal plan and other related information, some clarity is shown below.
Initial Balance: this is the balance the meal plan will have when a student is added to this meal plan for the first time
Max Flex Dollars Per Transaction/Meals Per Service Period: this is the maximum amount that a student/staff will be able to spend per service period/transaction.
Meal Plan Cycle Period: select how often you want the meal plan to reset to the initial balance. Example, if the initial balance is $50 and the cycle period is set to Weekly, this means students can spend as many dollars as they want during the week and then once the meal plan resets the balance will go back to $50.
