Tablet - Setting Up a Surface Pro

These need to be repeated per Surface Pro

1. Initial Set Up: A wired ethernet connection to the POS tablet is preferred to ensure stability. In terms of setting up Windows, you can select Individual or Organization, we have no preference. One thing we would recommend though is that you share a Google Sheet with us and your team that has the password for each new location that you set up. The only reason for this is because we have had many instances where campuses will forget their passwords so we just want it somewhere where we both know what it is.

2. Install Software: Install FIIT POS via the installer link. This will be sent to you when you reach out to support@nownpos.com.

3. Secondary User: Create a secondary user called "pos" and do not have a password set to for this user so that FIIT can auto launch.

To disable the password please follow the instructions below:

Start
Then search: Run
Search: netplwiz
Uncheck the box that says "user must enter username and password"
Click Apply and enter password.

4. Remote Access: Once you set up your Windows device please give us Splashtop access, the details on how to do this can be found below. This allows us to remote in if there are any issues.

Here are the instructions you'll need in order to install Splashtop
1. Open a browser window and navigate to the following URL https://my.splashtop.com/team_deployment/download/7HPT2HZ3PSRH
2. Select "I am sure I want to allow remote access to my computer"
3. Download the Streamer Installer
4. Once downloaded, double click on the installer to begin the upgrade process.
5. Once this process is done, run the same installer software again. This time it will install a clean version of Splashtop streamer.
6. Follow the installation prompts and when prompted for a deployment code, Enter "7HPT2HZ3PSRH"
